| Hello friends and family. It's been ages since we updated here. We have since moved over to facebook for ease of use. Xanga, I'm afraid, has been and probably will be even more neglected. Do keep us posted of your happenings. Meanwhile, should you wish to hear of ours, do look us up on facebook under each of our first and last names. British weather is turning cold as winter's nearly here...or is it here already? I've stopped gardening as it's cold outside. You hear of Christmas lurking around the corner..this year, we will get a real tree... can't wait... I did think of stringing popcorns but it's only done in US.. oh well...Have a great November everyone!

| Was at our first BBQ of this year over at Jonny & Michelle's yesterday. Milhem &Zozo (south african friends) brought their bbq pits... That reminded me of Wayne's post in facebook... The Braai.. It cracks me up everytime I (Chrystal) watch it.. You know it's funny when you're facing the computer and laughing out loud and then become conscious of the fact that you're also the only person watching it at that moment. Try it..tell me if you laughed.

| I've (Chrystal) started getting on Facebook.com. What a clever and organized way to keep in touch with friends and families overseas and also to nose around on their updates. Hence this blog gets a bit neglected. Uploading photos only can be a bit lame. I do apologize...and on behalf of Rudy as well. He's not really on facebook..he's just preoccupied. It's only nearly a month since we came back from Malaysia and it felt like ages ago. Rudy's been working a lot, sometimes six full days a week. He was in Southampton just yesterday. That is pretty far compared to his usual assignments. I've my full load of students streaming in as usual. I do not know how many I have, I just keep my slots filled since it is exam time these two months. It can be a tat nervewrecking to be preparing piano students for THEIR piano exams. The pressure is always on for everybody. I always empathize. Three exam seasons per year; each season lasts two months. (3x2=6) Now that I've done the math, it's no wonder I feel their exam stress nearly all the time. But I've since decided to see this piano teaching business as a hobby and it really took my edge off. At first it was business, now it's a hobby. A piano teaching hobby. I've decided that I do enjoy the teaching process more than the playing process on a daily basis. So, I do prefer teaching my students to play than to play for myself. Took me five years to admit that to myself. So the hobby isn't 'playing the piano' anymore. It's a lesser hobby.... Teaching has been extremely rewarding (well done students!) but it comes with a painful feeling every now and then. Actually, Patience can be so painful, isn't it? I am often thankful I wasn't stuck with the violin from day one. That must be measurable physical pain for the long term teacher. How about a study on the stress level on a piano vs violin teacher while their teaching? I wonder what 'longsuffering' must mean... ok..maybe I do love the piano more...
Here's my piano corner..
